So this kid comes in today on his 18th birthday to get his first tattoo. I ask him if he has any ideas and he pulls this piece of paper out of his pocket with a photo of a tattoo he found on the good ole internet. My first thought was, "Hell Fucking Yes!, Finally i get to do something kool!" This piece was enjoyable to do, something different and fun.
I set my Pulse liner up with a 5 tight liner, I set my "G force" Timemachine up with a 7 round shader on a long stroke. Fine lined the entire piece with the 5, went in with the 7 and bolded out the outter edge, went back with my 5 and cleaned up the bold lines. Took about an hour and the kid was getting fidgety so i took a smoke break to let him relax a little.
I set my Pulse shader up with a long taper 7 mag for the shading and gray wash task. I set my Workhorse Iron shader up with a short taper 7 mag for the coloring.
In the end i had almost 2 hours in the piece, the kid was loving it, and more than ready to get out of the chair.
I had had fun doing the piece and i'm somewhat pleased with the way it turned out. I don't really care too much for short taper needles when coloring.
